Status message:
I will ship hardbacks and paperbacks within the USA via Media Mail.

I have recently moved to a rural address which is rural enough that mailboxes are on a post beside the road. Those mailboxes have an unfortunate tendency to leak, especially in a rainy environment like the Pacific Northwest. Please wrap any books that you send to me in plastic before applying the outside wrapper. (I wrap all that I send, no matter where, in that manner.) I find that an inexpensive "Saran" type wrap works very well. Thank you.

Bio:
I am a retired business owner with a reading habit. My wife and I spend a lot of time going to garage and yard sales, estate sales, "friends of the library" sales, and anyplace there are used books. We are always hunting for books, so I picked the nickname orion9. (the hunter x 9) Most of the books I put online I haven't read, but I acquire them because I think other people would like them and I trade those for what I like to read. I read action/adventure, horror, police procedural, medical, legal, and science fiction. I like reference books, but for instance, history books will put me to sleep faster than anything else I know of, except books written by polititians, pundits, celebrities, and other self-serving individuals. I reserve the right to be self-serving for myself only. I know. What a grouch. But I usually manage to have lots of fun when I am being a grouch, or curmudgeon, for those who aspire to literacy. (whatever that is)

Personal philosophy:

If "some" is good, then "more" is better, and of course, "too much" is just right.

A note on the condition of my books:

I use only three categories. Good, very good, and like new. Anything less than good is junk and you won't find it in my inventory.
I like to read, but I like nice books also.

A note on my wrapping methods:

If you mooch a book from me, you may notice that it appears to be fairly well wrapped when you receive it. Everything I do in wrapping is meant to ensure that the book arrives safely. Indiscriminate cutting, slashing, and tearing may damage the book when opening the package. I would advise caution, patience, and a sharp blade. Start at either end where the wrapper is folded.
