Bio:
I am a damn Yankee (that's one that moves south and doesn't go back) stranded in central Mississippi, which is good place to be stuck if you like reading. My first love is history, especially naval history, political and societal history, and tales of explorers. I'll read any kind of science fiction (post-apocalyptic, hard science, military, space travel, time travel, alternate futures), but mostly I love good storytelling. If you haven't ready anything by Mary Doria Russell, Ann Patchett, or Neil Gaiman, please RUN, don't walk, to the nearest bookstore or library and get some!
