I love reading fast and slow.

Fast is for history, biographies, books of speculative ideas. Slow is for foreign languages, poetry, philosophy, good fiction. Bad fiction is not worth reading. There is no such thing as a bad non-fiction book, provided you read it fast enough, and do enough skipping (a table of contents can be enough).
