Status message:
I am now on permanent disability and have a limited income. I flaked out on several book orders this last year due to personal problems and financial problems and have come back for the limited purpose of cleaning up the mess I made (I will consult with the tech team on this).

I have been smoking in the house for the last six months (had not for many years previously) but rarely smoke when reading my books and have not smoked in the rooms with the books.

If you have tried to mooch a book from me in the last 2 years, please get in touch with me and I will try to make it up to you. It may take several months, due to limited finances. I have a number of mailing addresses and e-mail addresses for people who tried to mooch from me, so I will try to get in touch with those who tried to mooch books from me.

I have had a lot of internet security problems for the last year, which have finally been resolved. I was flooded with spambots and had trouble keeping up with the e-mails. My IP also downgraded its security about the same time as there was a rash of trojan horses (I had 2). I haven't changed my IP yet, but upgraded my spam filters and downloaded a shareware security program that was quite helpful.

For those of you who have cancelled, I will get back in touch with you. I haven't been meaning to ignore people--I was just overwhelmed by a mailbox filled with hundreds of fake Lyris unsubscribe messages each day.

Haven't received my stimulus check yet. Will use some of that for BookMooch mailings.

My apologies to all. I haven't mooched since i stopped sending books out.

I am a woman of eclectic and varied tastes. I love cooking & baking, have 3 cats. I read science fiction, particularly sociological science fiction, mysteries, popular science, with a particular interest in the evolution of consciousness in the brain, how consciousness functions, the evolution of man & other living things, the evolution and function of language. I would like to learn crafts but am fumble-handed.
