Status message:
I really enjoy my time on bookmooch, it has always been a pleasure to be a member, I have been given some great books and I have given away some great books--I have made good friends over the years and I value them all.I have been disturbed by the growing trend of members who will only send books within their own countries and yet who feel free to mooch books from all over the world. What it means to me, as a member from the UK, who posts worldwide, is a big outlay on postage for a very small return on books, most, if not nearly all of the books I would like to mooch belong to members who will only post within their own countries. Yet these same members feel no shame in mooching from those of us who do post worldwide. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark... So, please take note, I will not post books overseas to members who only post books within their own countries.

I love books and reading,cats,guinea pigs and dogS,chickens,pigs,bees,cooking and recipe books,wine and port,the environment,my flower garden,growing vegetables,herbs and strawberries,my extended family, South Africa (my country of birth, been in the UK for going on 19 years) Zimbabwe/Rhodesia,Kenya,the Greek islands,honey, olives and olive oil,lemons, garlic,tea, good coffee, cheese, roses, my friends old and new,herbal remedies ,sunflowers,postcards and stamp collecting,rock and roll and much, much more.(All in no particular order except for my family,friends and dog, who are all at the top of the list !!)
