I can usually post within a week. Posting strategy:

UK: surface mail, 2nd class, up to a few days
Europe: surface mail, up to a few weeks
North America: surface mail, up to about 5 weeks
Further afield: airmail for lightweight books (up to 5 days) or surface mail for heavy books (up to 3 months)

For Europe and the US, if the airmail price is very close to the surface mail price (which it can be, depending on the weight) I'll send airmail.
