Status message:
To ease the impact of international shipments on my budget, I'll only send one per week. I currently have no backlog for international shipments.

Bio:
Gradually letting go of much of my book collection. Many are ones I bought used, thinking "I should read this someday", but never have. It would be a lot cheaper to just donate them to a thrift store, but this way I know they're going to new owners who really want them.

In deciding whether to send a book internationally, I check to see whether the book is available for sale used in (or near) the moocher's country via http://www.abebooks.com/, and I compare that price to the US postage rates to that country at http://ircalc.usps.gov/. (I weigh the actual book, but the weight according to Amazon is usually pretty close.) If it would cost me more to send the book than it would cost the moocher to buy it locally, I'll decline to send it. I may also decline if the postage is very high (e.g., for large or hard-cover books).

If you see more than one book in my inventory that you'd like, please request them at the same time, so that I can ship them in one package and save on postage.
