Status message:
Nonsmoker, have two cats, one dog and a partridge in a pear tree. I buy books from many places, but only if in good condition. I try to describe condition of each book accurately, please feel free to email if you need more details. I am starting to send books worldwide again, but if the cost is over $12 to ship I will have to cancel the transaction. International shippers, feel welcome to browse for a 2nd book if you mooch 1 with pricing hike helps to send 2 books at once! I send books out once a week, every Saturday, 1st class if $2.50 or less.

Personal info
I love reading, and have been never been able to throw away books. This tendency combined with a compulsion to buy interesting, bargain books in a good condition at dollar stores and yard sales has lead to overflowing bookcases. You can imagine my relief at finding this site to trade my books rather than cause my poor bookcase to nearly collapse. I don't sell books anywhere, I just love bookmooch and work hard at having a good selection in my inventory. Hope you find something in my hodge podge of an inventory that you'll enjoy!

My pledge concerning my inventory:
I'll report truthfully on the condition of a book before posting it, and I use IBSN #s to post all my books. I will always note if condition different from picture or posted description, ie if actually paperback rather than hardcover due to quirk in IBSN #. If you have any complaints or concerns about a book received, email and I'll make sure matters are settled satisfactorily. I ship in bubble wrapped envelope with extra layer bubble wrap to cushion books if necessary.

Mother's class
Just so you know, I mooch many children's books to enrich my mother's elementary public school class. Why give books to a classroom? Well, here in NC the school system is cheap and doesn't give teachers good books to go in their classrooms. Teachers are normally responsible for building up their own personal library, and kids can only get so many books from the school library at one time. Having books in the classroom allows students quick access to a wide range of books with no due date. When mooching children's books, I try to get books in very good to excellent condition in the hopes they will have a long life and become well loved by many children.

Shipping, internationally and locally
Domestic (in USA) shipping: Books will be sent by media mail, unless cost to send 1st class is $2.50 or less. Send in bubble wrapped envelopes, may cushion with extra bubble wrap if necessary. Ship once a week every Saturday.
Internationally: I will start to send books worldwide again, but if the cost is over $12 to ship I will have to cancel the transaction. I have heard Canada is cheaper, so maybe y'all in Canada will be able to mooch heavier books. I love to send worldwide but ever since the pricing hike I have to be careful or the cost can be prohibitive.

Allergy alerts:
I'm a nonsmoker but since get books from many places can't swear they will always be 100% smoke free, although I do not get any books that I notice smell smoky. As you probably can tell from the picture, I have the honor of serving two cats and a dog who graciously allow me to also live in their house.
