I was so thankful when I first found Bookmooch. At the time the library didn't have the books I was interested in and I didn't have the money to afford new books at the bookstore or even used books on Amazon. Well, I tend to read a few books a week so the cost can really add up. Unfortunately, that experience is in the past and I seem to rarely get an option to mooch a book let alone actually snag one. Not sure what happened to the site but it's just not as good as it used to be. I have to admit to preferring nearly new books (who doesn't!). While I don't mind well loved books, I wish people would put this in the condition notes. If I know I'm getting a well read, wrinkled paperback it's not such a shock when I receive it in the mail. I consider Bookmooch a trading forum rather than gift giving as some people feel. You will find our inventory depleted. It's just that we have spent our good money sending books out but rarely receive them anymore. So, if we are requesting a mooch, I hope you can be kind and pick us. The photo is of our previous greyhound Devin. He was 7 years old in this picture and had been adopted and returned due to sleep aggression. It's pretty mild if he's given enough space to feel relaxed. If you had met him you would find it hard to believe that he had an aggressive bone in his body!
