I usually check my account at least twice a week, but it will sometimes take me a few days to get books sent off.

Bio:
About myself:
I'm a native German long-term living in the UK, working as a researcher in health care and communication. I'm also mum to a lively toddler. Being part of a book club at work has been great in broadening my reading tastes and making me pick up books outside my usual comfort zone.

About mooching from abroad:
Due to increase in postage fees, I'm afraid I will now only send books abroad to people who also send books abroad themselves. Also, if it makes a difference of more than just a few pence in price, I will send via surface mail, so please only mooch from me if you don't mind waiting for a few weeks.

About my reading tastes:
I like intelligent crime novels (Donna Leon, Henning Mankell, Ruth Rendell / Barbara Vine, Clare Francis) and books grabbling with moral dilemmas (e.g. Jodi Picoult) so would be happy to have things in this vein recommended to me! I try to read in English if the author is writing in that language , but otherwise really enjoy getting my hands on any books in German.
