|Books in inventory: 12 |
After having lived abroad for almost 10 years I'm back in the Netherlands. High postage and low funds forced me to put my status on 'I will only send books within my country', but after half a year of trying that I now must say that doesn't really work for me. All the books I would want to mooch myself are practically always in the inventories of people abroad! BookMooch doesn't seem to be very popular in Holland! I may have to decide that I will no longer participate until funds will allow me again to send books abroad myself. Sorry! In that case my status will be 'on vacation'.
=> Most of the books in my inventory have been bought on markets or in second hand bookstores. I myself own a dog and and people are allowed to smoke in my house. I also used to have cats, so my books (although my inventory is stored in a bookcase behind glass doors) DON'T come from an allergy friendly environment and may smell. Please accept that when mooching a book.<=
Some of the books I have registered here have previously also been registered at bookcrossing .
Therefore, they may or may not have a number written inside (usually on the inside of the back cover, sometimes on a small label) which is the BCID (=tracking-number). If so, I will mention this in in the condition section of the book.
Should you want to mooch one of those BC books anyway, of course the book is yours to do with it whatever you want. I would appreciate it though, if you would go to the site and leave a short message called 'journal entry'.
Non BC-members: I will smooch you if you are kind enough to do so!
It's free and you can do it anonymously. That way I can always follow the journey of a book.
Even if you don't want to do this, I do hope you will leave the number in place in case you ever decide to give the book away again, so that maybe another person might at some time make a journal entry. I can recommend any booklover to become a Bookcrosser too though.
Here's a nice video clip that will tell you all you need to know about it.
You can find more about me and my taste in books when you click the link above which will take you to my bookcrossing profile.
