Books for Keeps is collecting books for underprivileged children in grades K-12 in Athens, GA... home to one of the worst poverty rates in the nation.

Book Moochers across the continent have made it possible for us to give away 10,000+ books to date! Now we're building our inventory for the coming school year, and hoping to double... triple... quadruple the number of children we reach.

Currently our mooches are shipped to & logged by volunteers: Kay in Greenville SC and Mary in Reidsville GA. These wonderful women have volunteered their time (and storage space) to help us until we find an Athens "BookMooch" volunteer. Don't worry, the books will be safely delivered to Athens on a regular basis!
