We are a locally based 100% not for profit group that sends free reading materials to inmates in Louisiana and beyond.
The way it works is quite simple. Prisoners write letters to our mail box and let us know what types of books are interested in and we send out books at our worknights.
The Pre-Katrina home of Books2Prisoners was destroyed in the storm along with alot of the books. We've relocated and regrouped at a new location and with a new mailing address. Although we've been able to restart with gracious donations from prison book programs all over the country and other local organizations we are always in need of book donations and funding. |
