Status message:
I'm about to move house, so trying to declutter books. Will consider posting abroad, but would appreciate any requesters seeing if there are other books they'd like to mooch, which I can combine into one parcel to make it more economical, as I am not currently employed.

Bio:
I love reading and seem to buy/acquire books faster than I can read them, which means for full bookshelves! I'm trying to be stricter about only keeping books I may reread - but if I want to solve me storage problems I need to stop reading books I'll probably keep, and start reading those I'll probably give away ;-) I just got a Kindle.

I love reading crime/detective books, especially ones like Donna Leon, Maj Sjowall & Per Wahloo and Carola Dunn.

-- Some of my books are bought new, read once (or never even finished reading)
-- Some I've bought as "slightly damaged factory stock" - their conditions vary from a rip on the cover, a crease, a smudge down the outside... or even nothing at all. But at dirt cheap prices, it was a way to read books I'd never have tried full price.
-- Some books I've bought second hand, from charity shops.

*ALL* my books are looked after though, and I try to avoid creasing the spine if at all possible! Almost all of my books have had their condition noted.

I enter ALL of my books via ISBN number, to be accurate. Sometimes later print runs change the covers of books, but I have noted this in the condition notes - if you are collecting a series of books, I can well understand wanting all the covers to match.

Requests for heavy books to go outside my country *may* possibly be refused - but always ask, I'm happy to find out the costs. It depends on how many other books I've recently sent out. They will probably be sent surface mail unless the book is fairly light. I will always try to email, to remind the moocher of this.

Where possible, I reuse Jiffy bags - I try to recycle as much of my waste as possible, including paper envelopes - but only as long as the book will still be well protected in transit (as much as I can guarantee with Royal Mail ;-) ).
