Status message:
Regarding my number of cancelled requests - when I find a book I want to mooch and the only giver shows as possibly inactive, I will request it anyway, and then come back later and cancel it, so that member's status will be changed to "on vacation" and their books stop showing up as available.

Some of my books, but not all, are also registered at BookCrossing.com and therefore have a BookCrossing sticker in them. I try to remember to make a note of that in the condition notes. That doesn't mean I expect you to journal it on BookCrossing and if you don't want to do so that's fine. Once I send you a book, it's yours to do whatever you want with. I don't buy a lot of new books, and I do buy a lot from thrift stores and library sales, so the majority of the books I list will be used and may have already been well read. But I try to note their condition, and not post a book that is falling apart or otherwise unreadable.

My home is smoke free, but I do have a dog and a cat. I generally mail books out within a week.
