I currently trade books on three different sites and will send a requested book to the first person who requests it. We have 3 dogs and a cat. Our home is smoke free (unless you count the fire-place or someones bad cookin').
I have found many books at garage sales, used book stores, goodwill and thrift stores. From those places I try and "smell" the books to be sure they don't have any bad odors or funky smells. I try to send out only books that I myself would want to receive.
Some books might have black marker on the outside edges from the used book store. However, those marks do not take away from the "read-ability" of any of my books.
Additionally, some of my books may have a different picture on the cover than the one the web site is showing. If you are interested in the picture more than the story inside be sure to ask before I send the book out. I have tried to make mention of the differences when I listed the books. But I am only human and prone to mistakes.
Ok, so anyways, I love to read and I like to collect books. My favorite author is Louis L'Amour, in fact I have all his books in paperback as well as the leatherette series.( I know....Obsessive, Right?) I also like Jude Deveraux, Harlan Coben, Jodi Piccoult, Francine Rivers and Lee Child just to name a few. My collection is quite extensive and I hope to live long enough to read all the books I have. I prefer to collect hardbacks but I do have a few paperbacks too. My husband had to build a special book case for all the books. He is a wonderful man. Thanks for looking and have a Happy and Blessed Summer, Cindy :o)
On a final note. I just sent my first book out of the country(Canada not included) and it cost me a small fortune. This new knowledge has caused me to change where I can ship/send to. I might be willing to send to your country, please ask first and I will check into postage, cuz' WOW I had no idea. Maybe when our economy turns around I can send books to all you good folks outside of the USA without you having to ask first. Happy reading and God Bless :o)
